The Social Media Show season continues with Episode 2 “Social Media and Business.” In this episode, Co-hosts Asia Jade and Vegas Wayne talk about the important role Social Media has played in business since it’s birth. Not only has Social Media been a great way for businesses to spread their word, but it’s also friendly to their budgets because it’s FREE!
After the host’s discussion the episode moves onto the “Joe and Jane Blow” segment where several entrepreneurs are featured giving their take on how Social Media has been a benefit to their business. Some of the entrepreneurs featured include including Lisa Song Sutton, Clive Jeffrey, Nick Carpenter, Gulliver Giles, Cory Shanes, Clark Faint and Nina Tomaro.
The feature interview focuses on business owner Jerry Koll who proves age is not a factor when learning to master Social Media. After learning how to run social media for his own business, Jerry started to get attention from other business owners in the Las Vegas area. Now he is managing several accounts helping other businesses with their Facebook, Twitter and Instagram campaigns. Koll says business owners must understand whether they like it or not, they must be on Social Media. He says you have two choices; You can either run it yourself or hire someone else to do it.
Finally, the episode concludes with “Nun’Ya” Business with the 24/7 Entrepreneur Cory Shanes who tells viewers to keep your “relationship status” private on Facebook. He says this is due to if and when things do go south in a romantic relationship, it isn’t made public knowledge potentially clashing with your business.
