How Photographers Use Social Media

on 09/2014 |

In a world of smart phones where everyone can now be their own “photographer” some may think the art of photography is lost. However, Julie Bergonz aka the “Sin City Shooter” says that is most certainly not the case. Wayne “Vegas Wayne” Alexander of The Social Media Show caught up with The Sin City Shooter at her photography showcase at The Stratosphere Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, NV.

Julie says she is a big fan of Social Media and incorporates a lot of it in her work. She is always posting the photography shoots she is at ranging from concerts, weddings, pin up models, real estate and much more.  Julie will then throw some final edits up to her social networks for all to see. This has been a great marketing tool for her as it has landed Julie a lot of business.

When the topic shifted to “iPhonography” as Vegas Wayne puts its, where people can now simply take pictures on their phones. Julie said although this is true but has not had a negative effect on her business. She explained further by saying as a professional photographer she understands lighting, framing, editing and has a keen eye for capturing the moment.

We would like to thank Julie for taking the time to talk with us about Social Media. She has been a frequent guest to The Social Media Show and we can’t see what she does next!
